The 13th school in Northside ISD in San Antonio area has its mascot and colors – no logo yet, though.
As voted on by the first Sotomayor students, the new school will be called the Wildcats and the colors will be black, silver and white, the district released on Saturday.
By our database count, Northside Sotomayor would become the 66th school in Texas with the Wildcats name.
Even within that name, the school would also become the fifth school to be called the Wildcats to have the black, silver and white color scheme – Cayuga, Denton Guyer, Water Valley and Weslaco East.
The color scheme already resides within the district as Clark uses black, silver and white, and Sotomayor becomes the third feline-based mascot within the district – Clark Cougars and O’Connor Panthers.
The district said it would also release the logo to the community once it is designed.
